In today’s society, we are constantly bombarded with the idea of “work-life balance” and, for many, the notion is a constant battle. I love the quote from Dr. Charles Grob of the University of Illinois, “It’s not what you do that makes a difference, it’s what you don’t do that makes a difference.” This is true in every area of our lives.
I’m not sure if you are aware of it, but every day we are bombarded with articles on the topic of work-life balance. This is not new. It is the one constant that is constant in the lives of us all and is so easy to forget.
I think part of why people get so confused when it comes to work-life balance is because they don’t have enough real-life examples to illustrate their points. Sure, there are plenty of jobs that require people to have a full-time job, but many of us spend more time than we should on the job than we realize. Sure, there are work-life balance articles that highlight the great benefits of family and friends supporting a job.
I think that there are two main problems with the idea that we need to have more family and friends supporting a job. The first is when we have an employee that we dont see for one reason or another. A lot of us will not be able to see our employees every single day. The other problem is that we tend to assume that if a employee is sick, sick, sick, that they are a bad employee.
To be clear, this article is about work-life balance. We all know that having a family or friends supporting you at work is a good thing. But we have a tendency to assume that if you are sick, sick, sick, that you are a bad employee. This is not an uncommon belief. If a person is sick, sick, sick, they must be a bad employee.
If this article is not written by a nurse, I have no idea what it is. But if it is, then that is clearly not true. If a person is sick, sick, sick, then they are most certainly not a bad employee.
Work-life balance is about having a work environment where you can be yourself. It is about having a work environment where you can be yourself and that is most important.
The concept of work-life balance is an important one. If you work for 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, then you will do your best to be sick and be productive. But if you can work at least 14 hours per day, then you will be healthy and productive. We are all different, so we all have work-life balances.
