By Hendrick Health was founded as a health club for men in the late 1960s. It quickly became a community hub for a wide range of services. The first location was in the heart of New York City, but other locations eventually opened across the United States and overseas. The most prominent location was in New York City’s East Village, a neighborhood with many artists and writers, a vibrant social scene, and a thriving health culture.
It’s great to see this club being successfully revived. I think it’s great to see something that was so widely embraced being embraced by a community. I’m excited to see what all of the new members will bring. I’m especially excited about the new location in the East Village, a place that I never thought I’d see again.
In the East Village, the health club was a great place for locals to socialize, but I have to admit to being an outsider. Because in New York City, there is an entire underground community of people who have been around in the same circles for years. The East Village is a microcosm of the entire city of New York. It was a place where you could be seen and seen out and about, but because you were a newcomer, you were often invisible.
My friends and I used to hang out in this place on New Year’s Eve. It was a place where I was often the first person to walk in the door of the club.
